A GAP-tastic Update

Remember my WIP last week? How I told you that I would have ample time to work on my cowl because I worked all weekend? Well I didn't get as much completed as I thought I would, but it is now half done! My plan is to use all of two skeins of yarn; one is gone, so I only have half to go!

I'm still reading God's Heart for You; it is such a good devotional! I want to do more than one chapter a day, but I'm restraining myself. I can't wait to give you a full review when I finish it!

A GAP-tastic Cowl

Hello again! I'm really excited to show you this cowl; I've been working on it for some time. It has been frogged, restarted, and now proceeds to crawl toward completion. I love how simple the pattern is (it is purely Seed Stitch), and it's good for some mindless knitting while sitting in class, or watching the Presidential debates.

I'm still reading God's Heart for You by Holley Gerth. I haven't picked it up recently, but only because I haven't had time to read. I still love the book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new devotional.

Little OU Amigurumi Elephant

He's finally finished! One of my coworkers commissioned an OU colored elephant from me for his girlfriend, and I finally finished it. I looked and looked for an Ohio University pennant to put in the picture in addition to the mug, but I couldn't find one. Anyway. This is probably the third or fourth elephant I've made with this pattern, and it worked up much the same as the last ones. The only difference is that this elephant is twice the size of the others! This was unavoidable by making it speckled, but Paul is okay with it, and that's all that matters. If you'd like to see more pictures or read my Ravelry notes, just click the caption.

I also completed one of my bulletin boards today. They aren't due until next week, but I'll be gone next Friday so I decided to get a jump on the process. What do you guys think? I'm pretty satisfied with it!
By the way, I know how to spell Halloween. It's about safety for Ohio University's Halloween party, so I purposefully spelled Halloween with an OU.

OU Oh Yeah!

One of my staff members, Paul, commissioned an OU themed Elephant from me. If you've been following my blog for some time now, you'll know that I've made two of these elephants before now (blog posts about these previous elephants can be found here and here), and when he saw photos of my FOs, he decided that he had to have one. Well, technically it's not for him, but still. I only have three and a half legs left, plus stuffing and sewing, so hopefully it will be done by Friday so I can show you!

I'm still reading Gods Heart For You. I've completed ten chapters so far, and I still love the book. I would definitely suggest it to anyone interested in a new devotional. Holley Gerth is a great author.

A Long Overdue Present

I finished my little pig on Wednesday! My friend Stacie bought me the yarn last fall so I could make her a pair of gloves. She was even going to let me keep the leftovers! But realistically I will never make another pair of those gloves, so part way through making this little guy, I thought "I'll give him to Stacie!" She loves him so much. And her birthday is actually tomorrow. I'm so excited for her. My notes and more pictures can be found on my Ravelry page, linked to in the caption.
