Yep, it's Wednesday! Time for a little Yarn Along. Thank you Ginny from Small Things. If you would like to join the Yarn Along yourself, click here!
Okay, so, I'm working on a Gromit amigurumi that was commission by my grandmother as a present for a high school graduate in her 4-H club. As you can see I have the arms and legs completely done with all the fingers and toes sewn on (I would suggest doing that early in the project if you plan on making one by the way. It's a pain. You have to make and sew on 14 fingers and toes, and this is the second one that I made so I knew that I wanted to get this out of the way because they were a pain) and the head partly done. It's crocheted but not stuffed nor are the eyes completed yet.
I'm about to start reading Beautiful Outlaw: Experiencing the Playful, Disruptive Extravagant Personality of Jesus by John Eldredge. I let my mom borrow it before I read it (not something I usually do by the way) and she said that it was fantastic. I'm so excited to start it! Buuut when I got back to my room (I wrote this post during class. Oops) I could not find the book anywhere! I think I sent it home with my mom yesterday morning by accident with a group of preliminary things to move out so there will be a smaller trip next time. It was upsetting when I discovered this! So instead I took a picture of a devotional that I'm also reading off and on called Extreme Devotion. It's full of small stories (one per day) of people being martyred or persecuted for their faith in Jesus. It is a very powerful devotional.
So that's my yarn project and book for the week.
Again, if you want to join the yarn along click here.
I hope you have a fantastic Wednesday!

Hi Jenn,
ReplyDeleteI joined your site, but I don't have any account with Google, so nothing shows up.
I am just starting a blog at http://sewingseedsdaily.wordpress.com/
I am a Christian also, and I love to crochet, knit, and quilt~ :)

I too love Wallace and Gromit. That is a lot of fingers and toes. You sound like you have a lot of patience to knit it. Look forward to seeing it finished Jacinta
ReplyDeleteCheese, Gromit! Can't wait to see this in its finished state! My daughter is learning to crochet and will want to make one, too. Thanks for sharing. :)
