Life Without a Stash

I had a lot of free time today, so I spent it the only way that anyone could possibly spend free time. Crafting! And watching Phineas and Ferb on Netflix. So that was fun. :)

Anyway. So here is an updated picture of Gromit. As you can see, I finished the head, making the whites of the eyes out of felt and (what I believe to have been) 10mm eyes. I found them in an unlabled Ziplock, but that sounds about right. I crocheted the body, and also sewed on the arms and legs. I'm not entirely happy with how everything got sewn together, but undoing the stitching is a pain, and it doesn't look horrible, so I left it.

I wish I could finish him before I got home next Thursday, but alas, I cannot. Remember how I said that I sent a load of stuff home with my mom on Tuesday? Well I sent my stash with her (at the advice of a friend. It was legitimate advice; I mean, I should be studying for finals next week) forgetting that the other two colors I need for Gromit, coffee and black Red Heart yarn (the color you see here is buff Red Heart. I don't normally use Red Heart, but the pattern recommended it), were still in the bag. So now my stash and the yarn I need are four hours away from me, Gromit, and my crochet hook. It's sad really, but I guess this is a good excuse for me to study for my finals. Hopefully I do that instead of Netflix...

Until next time!
Jenn
